Deleting The Admin Username

    Hi,
    I want to delete my default “Admin” username.
    I’ve set up a new user “Administrator” user & I’m about to delete the default admin username.

    But all my posts were made with the original “Admin” username, what will happen to all my posts (ie my entire site) if I delete it? Will they still exist, get deleted along with the username, transfered to the new username?

    Can someone please let me know, as I’d like to be 100% sure before I delete my default “Admin” username.

    You should be provided with an option to re-assign the posts to another user.

    To avoid concern try this.

    1. Create a new admin account.
    2. Login with that account.
    3. Create a post, a test post.
    4. Login with another admin account.
    5. Delete the account just created a moment ago.

    That way, if the option is not provided(don’t see why it wouldn’t be) you’ll not have lost your important account or posts.
