WP 3.0 Custom Menu Problem HELP!

Hey guys, when I go in to the appearance – menu options and try to create a drop down menu, which requires you to click hold and drag a menu to the right of the one above it, so when I do that I have posted a picture of what exactly happens:

It adds all these blank empty boxes, the longer I hold it they just keep getting more and more.

Also when I add a new menu it automatically renames it as ‘ ] ‘. I cannot figure out why this is happening it pretty much started happening randomly one day.

If someone can help me out I will really appreciate it!
