• Im a freelance designer and have just installed my latest wordpress site. I want to be able to provide a customer login screen on my site, each to individual users but i want it password protected.

I thought that WordPress may have had an option to password protect individual pages as that would be perfect for me. Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow me to password protect pages on wordpress? additionally it would be good if the plugin would allow me to create a username and password for each page…

    Thanks,
    Dom

  • Edit new post.
Under publish options, set it to password protected.
    Type in custom password.

This way you don’t have to deal with individual users etc. Just individual posts.
Works perfectly for me. Password is asdzxc.

Furthermore- WordPress is not for serving individual content to individual users. If you need to get into serving sections of content, many pages, etc- Under authentication, then I think you’re asking apples to be oranges- this is the wrong software to ask this of.

Hmm, i agree with what your saying above that the post protection does work but thats not what im looking for at all.

I think it would be a good addition to wordpress to be able to password protect certain pages. unfortunately, i dont have any type of programming background so its not something i would be able to make.

Could you recommend any type of software that could be capable of doing this please?

    Thanks,
    Dom
