I am running Yoast SEO v19. Two weeks ago I installed the Activity Log plugin. Automated updates to the sitemap xml files show up in this plugin. These usually have localhost as the IP address (127.0.0.1)
Recently it has been showing external ip addresses. Also, there is a recent action listed as ‘Trashed’ whereas the only action previously shown was ‘Updated’
Am I correct that this activity is probably coming from the Yoast SEO plugin? Is there a reason it would show an ip address other than localhost?

    Hello Jnaud,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your sitemap.

First, do note that the Yoast-generated XML sitemap is at /sitemap_index.xml/ and not /sitemap.xml/. What you have described is not consistent with the Yoast SEO plugin. Are you using a third-party plugin to create sitemaps?

I think the activity I’m seeing may be from Jetpack. I’ll get in touch with our seo and see if they are using it.
    Thank you for your help.
