Hello,

I have been using User Role Editor for a long time to manage users and their roles. Since I have optimized the things on website and reduced the user to limited number, I don’t need the plugin anymore so I deactivated and deleted it.

After deleting the plugin, users list still showing multiple roles and even being an administrator I am having issue with some plugins like “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”.

How can I remove the plugin and its data completely from my website?

Hi Prachi,

URE makes all updates directly to the db record where WordPress stores user roles. These changes are permanent. Plugin deletion does not rollback them.
