    Hello friends,
I know nothing about WordPress and Elementor, but I managed to create a webpage for my books a few years ago, so thank you for that.
Now, however, this page has gone crazy, whereas the others remain in their correct style. Can anyone offer some advice?

    Regards

  • Hi,

To troubleshoot the issue try this guideline:
Make sure you are using the most updated versions of Elementor, WordPress & your theme. Sometimes it isn’t apparent that there is an update available. Go to Dashboard > Updates and click the Check Again button to be sure. (Make sure to back up your site).

Regenerate the CSS via Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS on your WordPress Dashboard. (Make sure to back up your site).

Go to Elementor > Settings on your WordPress dashboard.
Click the Advanced tab and then switch the CSS print method to Internal embedding.

Clear all cache: your browser’s cache, other plugins’ cache, server cache (if possible).

If the issue persists, deactivate all plugins apart from Elementor. If this helps, reactivate them one by one to find the culprit.

If it didn’t help, switch your theme (temporarily) to a default WordPress theme such as Twenty Sixteen and see if it makes any difference.

From your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Elementor > Settings > Experiments. Change all of the experiments to Inactive. Click Save Changes.

Wow, that was scary. First of all, thank you for your response, but I should remind you I know NOTHING about WordPress, Bluehost, the internet or computers. I’m an old guy who finds this stuff so difficult. As you might imagine, it was satisfying to actually create something with the help of WordPress. Thank you.
I went through all your suggestions (including changing the themes), but nothing has changed. Does it mean I have to delete that page and rebuild it?

    Hi James1959,

First, congrats with your work, it looks good!

When I look at your page, I suspect you forgot to hit the “edit with Elementor” button and tried editing with the default WordPress editor.

    Could that be the case?

When you go to this “crazy page” do you still see the “edit with Elementor” button?
If so, please hit that “edit with Elementor” and your page will probably be back again.

PS. do you take backups? If not start that, in case something goes wrong, you can still put it back and not lose all your hard work.

You can use this free plugin for it: https://nl.wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/

Scroll down on that page, and watch the video’s explaining how to use it, please.

Let me know if this makes any sense and if hitting that button to edit with Elementor, got thing back to normal.

    Kind regards,
    Annie

OMG! You fixed it! Thank you so much; my faith in technology restored. How strange though…for a couple of years it’s been fine, and then it wasn’t. But, anyhow, thank you so much.

    Regards
    Sean

    Hi Sean,

    Glad it is resolved!

The only thing that most probably must have happened,is that you hit the default editor tot edit, and that reverts to no styling with Elementor.

Happened to me in the past, that is why I recognized the problem.

    Keep up the good work!
    Annie
