Payment Failed: Postal Code Invalid but customer still charged?

Hi,
We had a failed payment today, the message said:
“A payment of $200.00 failed. We couldn’t verify the postal code in the billing address. If the issue persists, suggest the customer to reach out to the card issuing bank.”We assume it was only a failed payment but the weird thing is the customer is charged and it was not reflected in our earnings. Stripe also says payment was declined.
