[Plugin: MailChimp List Subscribe Form] Mailchimp Sidebar widget distorted

    I’ve just installed the MailChimp plug-in on my site (http://seminarjunkiesanonymous.com.au), and I have a problem when I include the widget in a sidebar. The form boxes are appearing outside of the widget’s bounding box. This means that I do not have the normal background that I would have in any other widget (e.g., a text widget) behind the forms. There is incorrect spacing between the MailChimp widget and the next widget on the sidebar (as well as too much spacing between the widget header and forms.) It is very difficult to place the cursor in the appropriate space and the overlapping of the sidebar widgets means you can’t really see where the ‘subscribe’ button is?
    I am using the EXTREME MAG Theme and tried to download Mailchimp again but WP told me that I definitely had the latest version of Mailchimp! I was using WP 2.9.2 but updated and that has not made a difference.

    Please let me know if there is anything I can do to resolve this issue.

    Did you make sure the custom styling option was turned off?

    Hi mc_jesse,

    thanks for your prompt response.

    yes I have tried turning off the custom styling, but it seems to make no difference.

    I have tried a number of on/off combinations:
    e.g. Monkey rewards,
    Javascript support,
    no first name or last name.

    But nothing seems to work?

    Any other suggestions?

    I hope that my above description explains well enough my problem as already I am having some complaints about the user-un-friendliness of the mailchimp opt-in layout on my site & it looks terribly unprofessional – so I am deactivating it until we can find a solution! Hopefully someone cn figure it out soon!?

    ALL GOOD! In deactivating and having a little fiddle I noticed that there is a wide unique sidebar at the top of EXTREME MAG that was throwing out the configuration. Once I moved it to a more nafrrow side bar (left or right) it was displaying as it should! YAY! Thank you and hope this helps others x
