Thank you, Lisa, I’m glad you like the plugin 🙂
Could you post a link or two of some slideshow examples/plugins, so I know what sort of template to create?
Hi,
My apologies for the delay in responding. I only saw your response two days ago.
Responding to you about templates; my taste in look and feel for slideshows is clean and spare. My fave is slideshowpro. You can see their examples page here – http://slideshowpro.net/examples/ (although this is a fairly advanced slideshow app, I mainly offer it as my favorite for cleanness of look and feel. I’ve used it on my own site, see this link: http://lisahoag.com/portfolio/photo/index.html
I like the simple single pixel black border. I also like the fact that you can set it so that all navigation elements go away, unless you scroll over the image. That way there is no visual distraction when you are looking at each image. The other cool thing about slideshowpro is that you can click on a full screen option at the far left of the navigation, which expands the image to fill the computer screen. I like the pop-up thumbnails along the bottom.
I also think NEXTgen gallery has a nice simple slideshow display:

But I prefer file-gallery’s use of the media library, rather than NEXTgen’s use of its own filing system.
Again, great work on file-gallery 🙂
