    Hi!

First off, I understand that anyone responding here is taking time out of their busy lives to help us out. Therefore, I would be totally happy to be given links to resources for further reading or watching, if that makes it easier for you guys.

Now then. The page I need help with is my subdomain “courses.okoninstitut.com”
I created a front page (which is the home page I linked here) and all I want is for people to click on the “buy now” button, they buy the course, see the checkout page and so on. I want things to be as simple as humanly possible.

I also need my students to fill out details for their own invoice. I need to keep one copy for tax purposes and have one sent to them via email.

I am trying not to use the woocommerce shop page simply to save time and also to keep the design so my entire page looks coherent.

    I installed:

    Astra child theme,
    Elementor free
    Woolentor
    Woocommerce
Woocommerce gateway stripe, paypal and payment for credit cards
Woocommerce pdf invoices & packing slips
    Woocommerce germanized
    Mailpoet

What do I do now? How do people buy the course, make the payment, enter their details for the invoice?

Also, the footer needs to go and the header needs to go. What you see in within the darkblue space is the actual page. The rest needs to be added to the “legal” page.

I apologize for not expressing myself clearer, but it’s just so much information for me all at once…

I am grateful for any help at all!!!
    Thank you so much!

    Martin

Because the button isn’t linked to anything…
Click on the shop and see that there is no product listed.
Maybe add these two courses as products in the shop and then add a button which is linked to those products.

Hi @martin177! Thanks for reaching out!

That’s correct @kruidenhemel! Thanks for surfacing this!

Just as my two cents, you can read the WooCommerce documentation here:

    https://woocommerce.com/documentation/

Specifically, the part about setting up products.

Let us know how it goes and if you have questions about setting up your WooCommerce store! My very best,

Thank you kindly for your replies!!

As you suggested, I created a test product and linked it to my buy now button. You can check it out if you like. However I must say, I don’t get it.

How do I link to the “view cart” page and skip the additional woocommerce product page?

    Thank you again!

    Hello

I understand you would like to redirect to the cart page when doing a click over the course page > buy now button.

On your site, I can see two buy now buttons the one at the top is redirecting to the product page, and the one at the bottom is redirecting to the cart, I think you want it this way.

Please be advised our support in this forum is specific to WooCommerce core, and the button on the page is using Elementor, if you would like to contact Elementor support please visit this page.

I hope this points you in the right direction.

Got it. Thank you for letting me know, with your help I am slowly finding my way out of the mental thicket 😀 I managed to work out the redirect as I wanted to.

If I could just ask if there is a way NOT to display any categories in woocommerce products? (I will only ever have 4 products and that’s not going to change. People can look at the courses page and they won’t have to search by using categories.)

If you take another look at the page, it says “no categories found” left of the image and I would love for it to go away. So I thought, if I switch it off in the back end it won’t be seen in the front end, if that makes any sense? Is that possible?

    Hello,

If you take another look at the page, it says “no categories found” left of the image and I would love for it to go away.

Did you find a way to hide categories? I don’t see the “no categories found” message on this page:

uhm… so last night I tried everything to switch it off and it didn’t go away… today it has disappeared. very weird. but since it’s gone now, I can close this thread and happily move on.

    weird.
    but good! 😀

thank you everyone for your help!

(ps: could I kindly ask you to remove the image again, I don’t want to get sued for copyright issues. The website has not yet gone public and it will be replaced with another one of my own when I’m ready. I’d be really grateful for that)
