Error when saving larger table

    Hi Tobias
    I love your Tablepress tool and have created quite a number of tables.
    Most of it works perfectly.

    However, one of the tables has about 2200 rows and I experience trouble when saving it.
    When I make a change and press Save Changes there’s an error message: “Saving failed: AJAX call failed: error -. Try again while holding down the Shift key.”
    If I follow that instruction there is another error message: “Error: The table could not be saved”.

    I would really appreciate your help.

    Hi,

    thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

    This indicates a problem with the server configuration, I’m afraid. It likely is configured to disallow large amounts of HTTP request data to be processed, and then discards such requests instead of passing them on to WordPress and TablePress.
    Relevant configuration variables are MAX_INPUT_VARS, MAX_POST_SIZE, and similar. To find out more, you could try checking the server’s error file for more information, maybe with the help of your web host company’s support team. Then, the server configuration would have to be adjusted to also allow large requests.

    Unfortunately your suggestion did not resolve the problem. I tried various configurations of these variables but without success.

    I did together with the hoster’s support team and there were no indications of what went wrong.
