Hello I got a warning from Google Search Console about a 500 error from this URL : /wp-content/plugins/elementskit/modules/conditional-content/libs/controls/login-status.php

Why is this indexed in the first place! if you google the path you will see and access thousands of sites elementskit folder.

Is not this a vulnerability to our sites from your extension?

    Please advise

    Hello Fernando,

Let me clear this for you. Usually most of the hosting provider turn off the directory browsing to their host. That means you can’t access the /wp-content folder or the php file directly. If you try to access the folder directly then you will shown the “403 access denied” message for security purpose. If your site doesn’t have turned off the directory browsing then contact your hosting provider. They will help you to resolve this issue. For more details you can check this article.

Also if you want then you can disallow the folders you don’t need to be indexed in Google by the crawler. For more details please check this article from Google. But if the folder has already been indexed then you can remove them by following this article from Google.

Let me know if you need further assistance regarding this matter. I will be glad to help you.

    Regards,
    Benjir
