product filters only displaying on Shop page and NOT product Category pages

    Hi

    Can you confirm the current version of your free plugin please ? The latest version ?

    I love your plugin.
    My question is that I have set up Filter on SHOP page ON SIDEBAR which works great.

    So if customer clicks on domainname.com.au/shop then you see all the products and the sidebar has your filter set up on this and has no issues.

    My client ALSO wants the Product Categories on the MAIN MENU showing so that customers can click in here also and it will redirect them to the correct page category.

    Example: MAIN MENU

    HOME
    SHOP NOW
    PRODUCTS – Dogs
    Cats
    Birds

    And I link the Dogs, Cats & Birds to the relevant Product Category page which auto has a SIDEbar on right side BUT it displays empty …

    I have already added your FILTERS in the Widgets SIDEBAR but it will ONLY display in the domainname.com.au/shop
    AND not in the domainname.com.au/product-category/dogs (which also then directs to the Category page with a Sidebar .. But the FILTERS is NOT showing in this Sidebar ….

    My question is that when I Have a customer who clicks on the domainname.com.au/product-category/dogs then on the right sidebar it doesn’t show the Filter as it is NOT directly the SHOP page but Product Category page.

    I assumed that it should be showing in here also.
    How can I fix that in settings OR Widgets so the Filter is displayed on all Product Category pages AND the SHop Page OR is that NOT achievable ?

    HI

    So for example:

    domainname.com.au/SHOP the filter shows no issues on sidebar on SHOP PAGE.
    I have 2 links.

    MAIN MENU example is:

    HOME / SHOP / PRODUCTS / CONTACT US

    SHOP page works as is and uses your FILTER normally.

    Products has the SHOP drop down menus for:
    Farm Gates
    Fire Pits
    Dogs
    Birds
    etc

    All of these in “BIRDS” or “FIRE PITS” which are SHOP items need to show the FILTER sidebar also. Currently it doesn’t show the FILTER automatically on these other pages ONLY on the domainname.com.au/SHOP page ONLY…

    As the client can choose either go straight to SHOP LINK or Look for another item in the PRODUCTS area which links back to the relevant Category eg. DOGS

    domainname.com.au/product-category/birds/ (which is part of SHOP, this doesn’t show the filter when the customer clicks on Birds on sidebar.

    Can you advise OR I can send you link privately so you have more of a visual to help fix the issue ?

    Site is going live in 4 days.

    If you mean filter by category: on the category page, the filter will only show child elements (if any). This is a very logical behavior. On the category page, you can show ONLY products that belong to the category OR child category. It makes sense to show only child categories( of the current category ), because clicking on any other category will always give zero products )
