Thank you for reaching out, and we’re sorry the plugin is not activating in a network level.
We have not experienced this first hand. Could you try activating the plugin on the first site that existed before you convert it to a multi-site?
Should the issue persists, it would be super helpful if you could provide the following to help investigate the issue.
1) Write out each specific step you take to see the issue.
2) Copy/paste any error messages (PHP logs, page errors, or dev tools console logs) you see.
3) Attach or post screen captures of the issue (including error messages).
Please send the error logs and screen recording by submitting a support request in our website for security.
Here’s how to:

2. Click Other Support
3. Fill in the form
4. Click SUBMIT

Thanks for getting back to me, and sorry for my delay.
Installing the plugin at the network level, then trying to network activate gave the fatal error.
However, going to the ‘first’ website in the multisite and activating, then going back to the network and activating for the network did in fact work.
