Images not being pulled from custom field

There seems to be some sort of issue when using a custom field to append an image gallery to the end of a project when using an array of media ids in the text field. It’s recognizing that they’re photos, but is not pulling them correctly.

Changing the field from ‘Text’ to ‘Image’ results in it not showing anything at all. We are using the free version of the plugin, so the ‘Gallery’ option is not available, and we’d rather not have to reattach photos to every post if we don’t have to. Being able to use an array like [“2297″,”2298″,”2299″,”2300”] makes things a lot easier.
