Exporting product list with alt tags

Hi. I exported my product list and then imported into a staging site ready to make the staging site live. All went well except the alt tags for the images didn’t migrate over. How can I do this please? Or is there a better way to go about doing this?

My staging platform does give me the option of either overwriting the live site or just applying the changes so just doing the latter method might be a better way, but there are certain things I have changed such as some category slugs which I’m unsure of these will carry over.
