file uploads through the admin interface

    I recently tried to upload an image through the admin panel – using both methods: upload from computer & from url. admin Ive never had any trouble with it up until now, but am getting the following error:

    Unable to create directory /content/StartupHostPlus/w/e/webtechnologies.me.uk/web/wp-content/uploads/2010/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
    “

    The obvious explanation is folder permissions, however ‘uploads’ directory is set to 777?

    I did finally manage to upload an image to an entirely different directory by creating a directory at wp-content/img.

    has anyone had similar problems with version 3?
