    Hello,

I have been searching for solutions to this – I found some links to the WordPress forums about similar issues, but no fixes I could see.

I got the ‘Save Failed’ message when trying to update the appearance of my site in the editor. I found some articles that said, try making sure your wifi is good, update plugins; deactivate and reactivate plugins, see if you have error messages in tools, etc etc. I was all good up until the error messages in tools – I have the following error message:

Plugin and theme auto-updates ensure that the latest versions are always installed.

Auto-updates for plugins and/or themes appear to be disabled, but settings are still set to be displayed. This could cause auto-updates to not work as expected.

However I’m not sure how to resolve this. I have made sure all my plugins are updated, and I have changed their status to ‘auto update’ but I am still unable to save my site.

I would really appreciate any help!

You should take a look at the log file of your hosting. There may be an error message that could point to the cause. Contact your hoster if you can’t find these logfiles.

Also, debugging WordPress itself would be another way to find the error: https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

Are you still receiving the error? I’m receiving it as well. My post is below:

I'm receiving a "Saving Failed" error when updating certain blocks within the Startupzy theme. I'm using the Gutenverse plugin. I can update only a few blocks. When I try to update several others, I receive the Saving Failed error. I contacted Bluehost and they told me that they had to 'delete the CDN so that once propagation is completed your issue is fixed.' I was told that it could take anywhere from 0-48 hours. Is this true? Is this really the issue? I still can't save. It's been an hour but I just have a feeling that's not the problem so I wanted to obtain a second opinion here.
