• HI All,
Due to the super response I got last time – thank you all – I have another problem I’m hoping you can help me with – having no experience of web design at all!
I’ve added the custom background plugin to my website (serenitytherapies.net) and am trying to get the logo (same as the favicon) as a background image to fill the whole page and preferably be slightly paler (or translucent?) so you can still see the writing on top of it.
Can I do this with the plugin or do I need to write some sort of code? If I need to write the code – can anyone explain it really simply for me as I’ve tried reading around the topics but have got completely lost! I know you can’t stretch a background image but you can ‘fake’ stretch it using divs or something but I have no idea what all this means!
Apologies for the lack of understanding – hopefully you can consider it a challenge?!
    Many thanks,
    Emma

  • I’ve added the custom background plugin

You don’t need a plugin for custom backgrounds in WP 3.0

And you can’t fake a stretch on a background image over a div either. All you can do it allow the background to tile.

ah OK. Sorry, I’ve read loads of different forums about putting code in to make a seem like it’s stretching, maybe I got this wrong.

Maybe I explained myself wrong – I read this post and that is what I’ve done.

    Sorry for the confusion.
