What are the WordPress %variable% tags called?

    I’m referring to the tags such as these…

    %post_title%
    %blog_title%
    %category_title%

    What are these called and where is a list of all the ones available to use?

    You access these settings on the Dashboard menu, under Settings / Permalinks

    Thanks, but that page is only about using permalinks which I’m already well versed in. I want to know what those variables are called and where I can find a list of every one of them that is available.

    I hate to be a “bumper”, but is there has to be at least one person or website on the internet that has given these variables a name or a place to reference them?
