Good evening @ssquire
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We did get other reports of this issue. Our apologies for the inconvenience.
Can you confirm whether or not you are using PHP 8?
The reason that I am asking is that it sounds like this is what causes the issue.
Of course, we’ll work on a fix for this ASAP. With that in mind, you might have to stick with PHP 7.4 for the time being.
Best regards,
Geoff
Geoff- Yes was using PHP 8.0; setting PHP back to 7.4 worked to import more events. Also getting the yellow in-progress line and note about importing while doing other tasks. Thank you! Now all events don’t display in order of start time on the regular month view calendar (one date I can tell by a brief look, but do on the individual date page list). The latter is not a big issue here but could be for others.
Hey @ssquire
I am glad that worked.
For context PHP 8 is still very beta for WordPress in general.
That also means that switching to PHP 8 might have created other issues that are, hopefully, possible to fix. A good starting point is always to re-save your permalinks and flush any caching you might have in place.
Please open separate tickets for each of the other issues you might have and we’ll gladly help you out.
Have a good weekend,
Geoff

Since this has been resolved, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. Feel free to open up a new one if something else comes up.
Have a wonderful day!
Thanks,
Jaime
Hi @ssquire
Just wanted to let you know with our latest release of The Events Calendar 5.14.2, we resolved issues with the CSV import. Be sure to review our full Release Notes for more details and update your plugin at your earliest convenience. As always, we recommend testing updates on a staging site first, but it should all be smooth sailing.
Thanks,
Rob
Hi again @ssquire
A quick note on PHP and CSV imports.
PHP 8 is not recommended for WordPress use just yet as it’s still considered “beta” by WordPress at the time of writing: PHP Compatibility and WordPress Versions.
Updating to PHP 8.1.5 or above will fix the issue.
Thanks
Rob
