    Hello Community,

I am currently working on a multistore website for a big client. Our client has a subsidiary in every European country. Every subsidiary (=store) is a separate legal entity, with it’s own VAT number.

What would be the best solution/plugin to work with this kind of situation in a multistore environment (so where each store has it’s own VAT number)?

    Thanks!
    Dennis

    Hello,

Are you using a multistore plugin? If so, you may want to ask the plugin developer if such a feature is available.

If that feature isn’t available, I’d recommend getting touch with a web developer or one of the services listed here to extend the multistore plugin.

If you mean ‘MULTISITE’ then each store will be considered a separate website – so each can have different VAT numbers.

If you are trying to build something like Magento or Prestashop’s MULTISTORE option then you will run into difficulties because that isn’t what a WordPress Multisite does!

Ok thanks for the advice, but we still need one main dashboard for all products/orders/etc.. (Multistore).
You think its best to combine this with multisite?

A multisite will be a good option or going for the solution mentioned here

If you are going for multiple stores than I would avoid multisite – WooCommerce is a resource hog! And, for example, a bad update would put ALL of your stores out of action!

If they are in different countries then it would also be a good idea to have each store on a server in that country too!

There are solutions that let you manage multiple stores like: https://woomultistore.com/ – but I’ve never used it so can’t really comment on how good it is.

    Hello @dennismo95,

You’ve got some good recommendations here on the tools or solutions to create a multistore.

Now, since this post is not specifically related to the WooCommerce core plugin features which we support on this forum I’m going to close this thread.

Other channels where there are users and developers with a lot of experience in creating WooCommerce stores are the following:

Hope you find this info helpful.

    Best regards.
