@allindiandjsdrive I found the source of the problem and made a change to the plugin code.

Please check this plugin version:
https://mattplugins.com/files/webp-converter-for-media-4.2.3-beta1.zip

If that works, I will add it in the next version of the plugin.

still appears on the latest update. (Version 4.2.3)
