Hi Atanu Sengupta,
Thanks for reaching out.
We show this message if an ads.txt file already exists and do not overwrite this current file.
I checked the path of your ads.txt and the existing file is created by Advanced Ads and looks perfect.
Have you already been able to resolve this issue or does the notification still show up in Advanced Ads > Settings > General?
Best regards,
Joachim
Thanks for your response. The message is still showing up in Advance Ads > Settings > General
`”The file was not created.
A third-party file exists: https://www.atanusengupta.com/ads.txt Import & Replace
Move the content of the existing ads.txt file into Advanced Ads and remove it.

Please help me to resolve this.
Regards.
Hi Atanu,
Thanks for your reply.
Yesterday, when I checked your ads.txt file, I could confirm that Advanced Ads successfully created this file. Today, the file is empty.
Have you reverted any changes from yesterday or reactivated the plugin you used before Advanced Ads to create it?
Best regards,
Joachim
Sorry, since I found no change from yesterday, I deactivated the plug-in. Now I have reactivated it. But the problem persists. However, now I won’t deactivate the plug-in.
What should I do now?
My heartfelt thanks to you for your quick response.
Regards,
Atanu Sengupta
Hi Atanu,
I tried again to find out what is going wrong on your website. Your ads.txt is correct and accessible now. Its first line indicates that Advanced Ads generates this file (# Advanced Ads ads.txt).
Do you still see the A third-party file exists notification in the Advanced Ads settings?
Best regards,
Joachim
This is what is still appearing under ‘Settings’ and no Ad is appearing. There is no other plug-in related to Ads.
The following line will be added automatically because you connected your AdSense account with Advanced Ads:
google.com, pub-6411147615054793, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0
Additional records to add to the file, one record per line. AdSense is added automatically.
The file was not created.

Hi Atanu,
This is strange. I checked your ads.txt file yesterday and today and I can confirm that your current ads.txt is accessible and contains the correct entries. It is created by Advanced Ads.
You could check via FTP if the meanwhile deleted ads.txt manager left a physical ads.txt file. I doubt that because in this case, Advanced Ads would not be able to create the file, but this might bring some new information.
Best regards,
Joachim
