Highlight query terms in documents not working

Hi I have 3 issues I can use help with.

1. When I click on the title of the search results, the query terms in the document are highlighted as they should be. But when I click on “read more” the highlight parameter is not attached to the link and the search term is not highlighted in the document. I am using Divi.

2. When the highlight parameter is attached to the homepage, instead of showing the homepage with highlighted search terms, a post archive page is displayed. Why is this happening?

3. For some reason these shortcodes or whatever they are are getting indexed. See screenshot: https://prnt.sc/2I6sOB_qp85K
