• Hello,

I have a plugin that is translated in multiple languages but struggle to change language in the backend.

When I change the (main) website language from French to Dutch in Settings => General, all the admin panel switch to Dutch, even my plugin ! Great !

But, if a user change the preferred backend language via his profile (for example in French), all the backend language is back to French except one plugin !

I don’t understand why this specific plugin can change language (French, Dutch English) if we specify the language via the settings but can’t override this choice if a user ask for an other language via his profil ?

Maybe there is a file or a line of code missing somewhere ?
    I’m on WordPress 5.9

Thanks in advance for your help !

Which plugin are you talking about?

    – Check if plugin has full translation to your language. (You can see the table when clicking on “translate this plugin” / “help with translation” on plugin description page in wordpress.org plugin directory ).
    – Each plugin has its own support subforum, it will be better if you can ask plugin author and its support representatives about this issue (in case plugin has full or most translation).

    Thank you for your answer.

The plugin is “events manager pro”.

It’s great but there is a strange behavior with the language in the backend.

I already ask on a specific forum but, because multiple languages exist and can be changed via the Worpress settings (but not via the user profile), I thought this bug would be more related to WordPress and I’d ask here too.

My website is not hosted on wordpress.org

    Does it change something ?
    Thanks

For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site.
This includes any pre-sales topics as well.
As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums.
I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

There can be nuances with PRO localizations, therefore you’ll better ask the vendor.

WordPress.org does not host any sites but WordPress.org community/support forums/documentation/development sites and some other stuff related to WordPress (as software) ecosystem.

    Ok thanks for your answer.

I hope I will have news from them (they told me they would “investigate”…).

In the meantime, if someone had the same problem and found a quick solution, I’m always open for it 😉
