Invalid RSS feed because of lastbuilddate

    Feed validator gives me the following message regarding my RSS feed:

    – Server returned HTTP Error 404: Not Found
    – line 16, column 16: lastBuildDate must be an RFC-822 date-time:
    <lastBuildDate></lastBuildDate>

    Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress?

    I have tried all of that, including a fresh upload of WP 3.0. I also deleted unused plugins completely. I also went into the theme header code and checked that the RSS links were as they are supposed to be. I still get the same response about the “lastBuildDate” line.
