    Just a comment –

You really ought to disable the automatic deletion of uploaded files by default. Normal people may not get to their emails within ‘1-2 hours’ before the files are deleted and when they finally open the emails with file links, they find that the files are all missing.

I should have read more up front, but only discovered this was even a setting after troubleshooting why the images uploaded were constantly not there when I checked the file system.

Along these lines, a good improvement to the plugin may be to add an option to send the images as attachments rather than file links, which would solve both problems at the same time.

    Thanks.

Oddly, another site I use this plugin on which *did NOT* have the “Don’t delete files” box checked, has not removed any of the files uploaded for months, perhaps because CRON jobs were failing (thankfully) or some other reason.

    Hello @efishinsea ,

You need to manually setup and add the code in Email attachment field to attached file in your email. (like this: https://snipboard.io/Ffdeg9.jpg)

    – Thank you for this, the default option is actually sending links to temporary file if you did not setup the File attachment settings properly.

Even if we add an option to “send the images as attachments” you still need to add the code in File attachment fields.

    Thank You.
