Post excerpts

Hi guys,

I am using the the jessica-fletcher-redux theme and am really hoping to find a way to create excerpts, but am afraid this theme does not support them.

I have a number of long posts that I don’t want to appear on the front page of my blog. I need to find a way to create an excerpt of 4-6 lines with a link to read the whole article.

I’ve gone through every option possible and can’t find it. Can anyone help me out?
