Order completion issue in woocommerce

Hello,
I am having a challenge with order completion in my woocommece store (marketplace). When you select the bank transfer option, the page returns you to the top after clicking the place order button, instead of showing the thank you page with order information. The admin however receives an order received email but the customer does not receive any email. In Firefox, I see Internal server error on the top of the page. This is not the same when selecting the pay on delivery option as the customer and admin receives order received and confirmation mails for this option.

Now two things happened before this started:
1. I used a coupon code and the system said the coupon code is invalid and has been removed from my order
2. I edited the order on hold and order completed email earlier, although I have removed the text added, the same thing happens.

I have deactivated the url coupon and order delivery date plugins one after the other but the problem still persist.

Please I urgently need help to fix this issue as it is a live marketplace.

To help me better diagnose it, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status?

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

If possible, also share a full and uncropped screenshot of the errors you’re seeing. I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io/ to take a sharing the screenshot with us!

I have narrowed this to the order on hold HTML email template. Everything works when I select plain text email type but not when I return to HTML mail type.
Now I need help to fix the email template.

Thank you for your reply. Can you reproduce this issue when you have only WooCommerce and the Storefront theme active? I’d suggest doing a test to rule out any conflict issues with your theme or another plugin.

If you don’t want to test on your live site, you can create a staging site using a plugin called WP Staging: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/
