Hello,
Thanks for reaching out!
Can you provide some additional details about how you are adding the Mailchimp checkbox?
Are you using an extension/plugin?
Hey,
Yes, I use Mailchimp for woocommerce plugin.
I also communicated with mailchimp support:
We’d recommend that you either reach out to your WooCommerce developer or try reaching out to WordPress support.-

Hello,
Thanks for writing back!
I’ve just tested the Mailchimp for WooCommerce extension, and it will display all in one line by default (see this screenshot).
So there must be something else causing that – maybe your current theme or another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Check if the issue is solved
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
Let us know how it goes.
Hey,
I use checkout page Multi-step checkout plugin and support says:
We have limitations in modifying that specific field. So we request you to contact the Mailchimp support for checking the same.
I contact Mailchimp support:
We do not have any control on our end where this checkbox would be showing up on your store. If you would like to see if moving this option is possible, we’d recommend that you either reach out to your WooCommerce developer or try reaching out to WordPress support.
And next woocommerce support:
Most likely, showing the checkbox and the text on one line will require adding custom CSS or PHP code.
`I’d suggest attempting to add CSS code in order to make these two elements appear in one line:https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/editing-css/
https://artshacker.com/css-magic/
https://www.designcise.com/web/tutorial/how-to-force-html-elements-to-stay-on-the-same-line
Maybe can you help me with this code?
Hi @psiim18,
Most likely this can be fixed using custom CSS but we do not provide support for customizations in accordance with our Support Policy.
Get in touch with your theme developer that will be best placed to assist you with this. If they can’t help you further, it would be time to reach out to a local developer or a customization expert – https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.
I’ll mark this topic as solved now. Please feel free to open a new topic if you have any other questions.
Have a nice day!
