    Hello!

I hope you can help me πŸ™‚

I have a wordpress (one-page web) in a subdirectory and I just noticed this:

    – The sitemap URL doesn’t appear in sitemap settings. (I’m not sure if I saw that before because somehow I added it in the Google Search Console) – domain.com/subdirectory/sitemap_index.xml

    – The sitemap URL doesn’t appear in robots.txt (main domain don’t have RankMath) – domain.com/robots.txt

I wonder if I need to do an additional configuration for this. Is needed a sitemap for a one-page web?

    Hello @oizovski,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

The purpose of Sitemap is to make the site pages easily accessible to the Search engines.

For a single-page site, the Sitemap is not much of a use but we still recommend using it.

As far as showing a Sitemap in the sub-directory installation is concerned, we just checked it on our setup by installing WordPress on subdirectory /wp/ and it worked fine.

The Sitemap is showing all the data from the sub-directory setup. Here is a screencast:

Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins, themes, and WordPress (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

To determine that, please follow this troubleshooting guide:

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.

    Looking forward to helping you.
