ARIA input fields do not have accessible names

    Hi There,

    I realize that I got this error at lighthouse.
    If I create a woocommerce widget as “Filter products by attributes” and select display type as “Dropdown” this error happens.
    Any advice to fix it?

    Hi @roadlink!

    Thanks for reaching out! I performed a web accessibility test on my test site but I didn’t get this error when adding the WooCommerce widget displayed as a dropdown.

    Can you share more details about your test? Like what’s your site URL and where did you test your site for accessibility? So we can try to replicate it on our end too.

    Also, Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. 

    Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hi Andre,
    Thanks for quick reply.
    I have tested it on 2 of my site. Generatepress theme (live) and storefront theme.
    Both have same error. link

    Btw, can you give me your test link? I can compare the codes.

    That is strange, to take a better look, please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Thank you.

    Accessibility issues have been already reported on this Github #24185 thread:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/24185

    The priority of the issue was increased so that developers will start prioritizing and fixing these issues soon, hopefully within the next release of WooCommerce.

    Please go ahead and add your own comment and subscribe to the thread for updates. This will give the developers a good idea of how many users feel affected by the issue and hopefully, they’ll plan to release a fix soon.
