    Hi,

I’m having some trouble with the date picker in the new V2 design. In list view it works just fine but in month view it doesn’t. For example when I look at December 2021, it shows “01.12.2021” (German date format), so I guess the starting point is always the first of each month. So far, so good. But when I actually want to choose another month, nothing happens when I click on that month. The date picker opens up, I can click on it but it’s still December 2021.

When I use the navigation below with actual links, it works just fine. I’m using Polylang, a translation plugin. Isn’t the new V2 view compatible with Polylang already, could that be the issue? In the old view there were no issues.

Sorry, I was wrong, there are also many problems with the links in the old views version. I just noticed that it doesn’t work so well (or at all) with Polylang. The navigation links don’t contain the language code for example, I cannot get it to work.

    Hey @ksvgn2018

    Thank you for reaching out.
To the best of my knowledge, Polylang did claim compatibility with our plugin last summer.

I would recommend reaching out to them to see if they can provide a workaround 🙂

    Hang in there!

So may I ask if you have any kind of integration of Polylang’s functions in your Plug-In? As I can see for example, the generated Links on the “list” view look like this:

    https://domain.com/(en)/events/list

Note that these links get shown on the standard (German) version of the site. I guess the (en) comes from a broken part of code where an “en” or other language code should eventually be inserted if the English version was the active one. In this case they should not because I’m using the German version and there is no scenario in which a language code in a URL should appear in round brackets. Needless to say it doesn’t work that way.

Bottom navigation in month view for example doesn’t show language code at all, so when I’m on a different language page than the standard language, I always get taken back to the standard language when I click on a link. Links look like this:

    https://domain.com/?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month&eventDate=2021-12

Where is the term “events” from the permalink? And where is the language code, when I’m on a different language page than standard?

I think there is something seriously wrong with the way links are generated here and that is probably why the jquery date picker is not working either the way it should.

Oh and in addition here is another one of those links from the switch between month and list view, I copied it:

    https://www.domain.com/(en)/termine/(/?:month|monat)/”

“termine” is the term used for “events”, at the end it even lists both languages I currently use on the site. This is definitely not how a URL should look.

    Hello @geoffbel, Hello @ksvgn2018,

@ksvgn2018 Indeed we are working on a compatibility with The Events Calendar but in Polylang Pro only and not in Polylang (the version available on the WordPress repository). We still have some work to do for the new V2 design. If you show me your issue thanks to a video I could check if our compatibility fixes already it or if this is an issue that we have already targeted. To well understand the context of your video please don’t remove anything. Please also show your Polylang settings into your video (go to Languages > Settings > open the Url modifications module).

    Hi there!

This thread has been inactive for a while so I’ll be marking it as Resolved.

Please feel free to open a new thread if any other questions come up and we’d be happy to help.

    Best regards,

    Marho
