Woocommerce – remove BOLD from active breadcrumb

    Hi there,
    New to WooCommerce but not to WordPress and i have some issues about the breadcrumbs.

    1)
    The last breadcrumb in my WooCommerce are bold, and that i dont want. Anyone knows how to remove that?

    2)
    Underline links in the breadcrumb – can i do that?

    3)
    Product not shown in the end of breadcrumb trail?

    Im aware this mayby are easy and logic – but i really dont know how to?

    Hello,

    1) and 2) can be fixed with some custom CSS. Under Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, you can add the following code:

    .woocommerce-breadcrumb {font-weight:initial !important;}
.woocommerce-breadcrumb a {text-decoration:underline;}

    If you’d like to learn more about CSS, I highly recommend using the free tutorials at w3schools. Here, you can find the basics of selectors (how to target the right element on the page), and properties (how to change the element on the page).

    Product not shown in the end of breadcrumb trail?

    I’m not sure if I understand this. Could you please elaborate more on what you are trying to do?

    Hi, thank u very much! I´ve tried som different CSS but it never did what i wanted. So thank you!! 🙂

    I meant that i wanted the product in breadcrumb like:

    Forside > Webshop > Omvendt Osmose – RO anlaeg > omvendt-osmose-5-trin-pro

    Hi @laaze

    Thanks for clarifying.

    Go to WP-Admin → Settings > Permalinks and select Shop base with category type and Save the changes.

    Hi Margaret,
    Tried that several times, but it wont show product, regardless what i try.
    It seems like the /sample-product/ have no effect or/and disapears all the time?

    It keeps marking the Custom base with: /webshop/%product_cat%/ every time i save. Even though i have marked the Shop base with category?

    Just got a lot of 404´s
    Tried several diff settings, both in the plugin and in WP. But regardless what i try, i got 404 or back to same result as before..

    Another person has installed this Woocommerce and this plugin? I dont know why he installed that – cant see the need for it?

    I also see Redirection as an active plugin, which may be the cause for the 404s you are seeing. Has your site been migrated at some point? If that’s the case, I can understand why there must have been multiple permalink/redirection options active.

    If you are still seeing issues after deactivating the Redirection plugin, I’d suggest doing a full conflict test. This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    This is best done on a staging site. That’s a copy of your live site, so you can test things out without making changes to your actual site. Some hosting companies offer a staging site service within their hosting plans. If yours does not, there is a great free plugin that will allow you to build a complete staging site with a few button clicks: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging.

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.`

    Ok – after staging and switch to Storefront, all is good (with all plugins active). Back to Flatsome in staging, and problem is there..
    Its somewhere in the theme it goes wrong?

    Got it!!!
    It were en Flatsome advanced settings > Yoast Breadcrumbs > “Use on product category pages, single product pages and elements” should be checked.
    I have tried this earlier with no succes, but now i have tried so many permalink settings so something is changed on the way?

    Only problem now is that the showing of bold breadcrumbs are back?
