headers and such

so I have WP installed, but having some issues getting what I want out of it. I have a really simple header designed in photoshop, Its a set size, lets say 1000 x 300. I dont want anything else around it, no title or menu bar. Now, if I try and add that to a theme, it forces me to crop it. Under that should be the content, and nothing more. There will be a menu on the right side, but thats a non-issue right now.

how should I do this easiest?
