How to Get the WordPress File Block to Display PDF

    I’ve noticed when I use the file block, sometimes it displays the full PDF. Other times it displays just the clickable title of the PDF and the download button. Do you know why sometimes the PDF will not embed fully readable so you could view it in the post without having to download?

    Hi @chrisbadgett

    Can you tell me which file you are uploading in file block?
    Because the file block displays the full PDF, when the file is of PDF format. And when the file is of some other format like png, jpg, xlsx etc. Then it will only displays the clickable title of file and download button. I hope this comment will help you.

    Thanks @smit08 for weighing in. It’s only PDFs that I’m working with. But I still can’t get it to display the PDF in the post. I just tested on a fresh WP install, and it works! I’ve got some debugging to do. I’m guessing it may be a theme issue.
