• Hi – an odd one here.

When I tun on permalinks I’m getting and odd error. I have changed my permalinks to %postname% (for example)
Say I click on “postname-a” it redirects correctly to ‘mysite/postname-a’ – no probs

the lext click on ‘postname-b’ however goes to mysite/postname-a/?p=xxx

    not mysite/postname-b as expected.

Anyone have any ideas – the site is elementaluk.com, however I’ve had to turn permalinks off until I can resolve it.

    Cheers,
    Zander

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

Thanks – you’re right – it seems to be a theme specific problem – could it be something to do the handmade menu consisting of relative rather than absolute links??

That certainly won’t help. You should always use absolute urls in WP.
