PayPal Refund – No Customer Note of Refund ID

    Good Day,

    We have migrated from the discontinued PayPal checkout plugin to this one and all is mostly ok.

    Our issue lies around handling of refunds and the display to the admin user.

    In the old plugin, on refunding a transaction, the plugin would add a note of the PayPal refund transaction ID as a private customer note. This is invaluable as its the only evidence on screen that it has successfully gone through PayPal.

    The new plugin does not provide this.

    Can you please add this in as currently we are having to have our manager log into PayPal to confirm the refund has actually happened..

    Hi @cd136,

    Thanks for your feedback.
    We aim to extend the amount of information provided by the plugin and printing more details about the transaction within the order notes will be a part of this.
    I can’t say when exactly, but something like this should be added in one of the upcoming feature updates early next year.
