Adding a left sidebar to Stylez theme

Hi everyone,

I have attempted to read other tutorials on how to add a left sidebar to my theme (seen here: http://www.noordinarygurl.com)

This is a theme I purchased from ThemeForest, I have contacted the designer with not much luck. I am not sure how to implement coding to add a left sidebar, so I was hoping there might be a more experienced person to help me with this or show me a easy way to do it myself.
