    I have looked all over for this request in the forums. The requests I found made suggestions that did not work, though.

    Basically, my site was working fine. I was trying to delete the title of my blog from the top of the homepage. I thought I would be able to achieve this by deleting the Blog URL/Home URL in the settings. As soon as I did that and updated, I was unable to access my page. I keep getting – “Error establishing a database connection”

    I tried repairing the wp_config.php file. It said everything was fine.

    Then I tried adding

    define(‘WP_HOME’,’http://example.com’);
    define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’http://example.com’);

    to the wp_config.php file (with my URL replacing “example”)

    Then I tried adding

    update_option(‘siteurl’,’http://example.com/blog’);
    update_option(‘home’,’http://example.com/blog’);

    to the functions.php file (with my URL replacing “example”)

    (those ideas were found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL)

    None of that worked. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
