Can’t Signin

    I am unable to admin signin to one of my sites on my Macbook. First it said that the browser was blocking needed cookies. I checked, and all cookies are allowed. Then when I tried again it locked me out. It said to contact the admin. I am the admin, lol. What to do now? Thanks.

    Now it says that if I enter my email it will send an email so that I can unlock the site. No email arrived yet.

    I just noticed that the lockout message is from Wordfence, one of the plugins on the site. Trying to diagnose a plugin issue I had just deactivated all plugins including Wordfence. Then the problem began.

    IIRC, WordFence has a WAF that may remain behind if you do not deactivate it properly. However, the lockout lasts only for a set time, so trying again in a couple of hours may help.

    That said, I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wordfence/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
