The standard English is United States, but users can also select English (UK), English (South Africa), English (Canada), etc. when installing WordPress, and hence why having translations for English language backends might be applicable.
Is the issue that you are see translation updates for English? If so, then try going to Settings >> General and changing changing the Site Language to English (United States).
If you wish to remove that category, I’m not sure of any filter that could achieve this.
Thanks. I am not seeing translations of English versions. I am seeing unneeded translations from around the world.
I see.
What do you have set in Settings >> General >> Site Language?
Are the translations you are seeing a) many translations for one plugin/theme, or b) a) many translations for many plugins/themes?
Could you take a screenshot of the translations section of the updates page, paste it to somewhere like https://snipboard.io/ and then post the link here so we can see the issue?
US English
The translations that appear on the Updates screen are for the whole site.
I put up a screen shot.
Hmmm. I don’t see a screen shot.
Thanks.
That view doesn’t show too much unfortunately. Can you take a screenshot from this part of the Updates section so we can examples of pending translation updates: https://snipboard.io/Vunr8X.jpg
Also, are you seeing a) updates for every page of the site and for many different langauges, or b) updates for every page of the site and for 1 language only?
I just went back to the Updates screen. The Translation section is gone. Did it fix itself? lol. Anyway it seems the problem is solved somehow. Thanks.
