Not clear though if the initial supply is minted or is not minted unless the contributor send contributions, and what happens with the rest left over if that’s the case? (when ICO ends).

The initial supply is for contract owner, this is not part of the ICO.
So, when user buy tokens, they are minted on contribution, meaning that every contribution increases the max supply of the token.

But actually, sorry another question rise, Front end ICO is only showing # coins for 1 ETH.
Are contributions only with ETH even if you deploy in MATIC / BNB / XDAI?
And XDAI seems much cheaper, as all are ETH L2 why pay much more GAS for ETH or even MATIC compared to XDAI?

To be clear, I set an XDAI address in this example, but the ICO front end page shows ETH. Is true that the contract is not deployed yet.
