• Hello

I have 5 latest posts showing in blog at http://www.marble-design.co.uk
at the bottom is a link to older posts.

When I click on that the page isn’t showing correctly, I am not sure what php files it is using I have edited the page.php, single.php and header without success.

Is there any chance it is using a different php file?

    Thank in advance

  • Try updating your permalinks by visiting Administration > Settings > Permalinks and clicking on Save Changes.

thanks for suggestion, tried it but no joy unfortunately.

    Other things to try:
    1. Change to the ‘default’ permalinks
    2. Change to the WordPress Default theme
    3. Rename your .htaccess file
    4. Deactivate any plugins

No.1 in your list works!! ie. changing to ‘default’ permalinks – thanks,

but unfortunately when I tried changing back to custom permalinks it doesn’t work again.

the custom permalink i was trying was

    /%category%/postname%/

is there anyway I can have this custom permalink and get the page of older posts to show?

or is there a better custom permalink?

/%category%/postname%/ is not a recommended permalink structure.

Make sure your host supports mod_rewrite.
