Sitemap has “Sitemap appears to be an HTML page” errors

    My site sitemap has an error. when I submitted my sitemap it shows “Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.” I tried so much to solve it but still I could not solve. I read all of your article to solve it but still the issue exists.

    Please help me to solve this problems.

    My site created with wordpress and I use Yoast SEO. I will buy Yoast SEO Premium plugin but I could not buy for this problems. It is big problems for my site and I can not solve it without your help.
    So, plese help me.

    A few days ago I encountered the same error. As far as I remember, I solved it with 404 redirect, it is useful to try.
