Product Prices Keep Reverting

    Hello,

    I’m having an issue with my woocommerce plugin.
    I’ve recently increased all the prices on my site and it seems 60% of the product prices have reverted back to the previous pricing.

    The prices update on the website when I increase them again, but they revert back the next day. This happens every single day.

    I decided to just add new products with the updated prices and remove the previous ones, but even the new product pages are reverting to the same prices.

    I don’t have much background and experience in this and am still learning. Was hoping someone could help

    I see that you are using a caching plugin below. Can you temporarily deactivate this plugin and see if the reverting stops?

    I installed the plugin after the issue started. I saw a previous thread where installing a caching plugin resolved the issue for someone. Hasn’t worked for me.

    Hi again,

    You may find an option to clear the cache on your cPanel, but typically the folks at your host will be able to purge and temporarily disable server-side caching. So I suggest reaching out to them directly.

    Didn’t seem to work. This was their response:

    The issue you are experiencing falls under web development which is a service that we do not offer.

Any caching services or plugins would not affect the changes being made in the backend of your website. Caching stores copies of files in a cache, or temporary storage location, so that they can be accessed more quickly, specifically with frequently requested information.

I have however done a quick check and found that you currently have a CRON job configured which is set to run at 00:12 every day. The CRON job can be found by going to cPanel-> Advanced-> Cron Jobs.

/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/spillctn/public_html/_spill_product_import.php

This appears to be pulling information from a CRM system which is most likely where your pricing is stored. The incorrect pricing may be stored there.

    Hi @courtneytylo

    Per the response from your hosting provider, what you need to do is to disable the CRON job.

    In order to disable the wp-cron.php behavior, please do the following:

    1. Open your wp-config.php file with the cPanel File Manager Code Editor
    2. Go to the bottom of the database settings in wp-config.php typically around line 37. Add the code: define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', 'true');
    3. Click Save

    If you are not comfortable editing the code then Log in to cPanel. In the Advanced section, click on Cron Jobs. Over there, disable the job which is set to run at 00:12 every day.

    I have disabled the cron job. I will report back tomorrow if the prices have reverted back or not.
