I noticed that when I make a slideshow with more than 1 slide in it, there is initially a large gap between the slide image and the navigation dots. Here is an image of what I mean:

    file:///C:/Users/CtAdmin/Downloads/Image.PNG

When I have only 1 image, it looks normal. I’m not too sure how to fix this, has anyone else had this issue and knows how to fix it?

  • Hi,

We are not able to see the link you provided as it is a file path to your local computer.

In the meantime, if you’re using any optimization plugins like smush, can you try deactivating the lazy load feature and see if it fixes your issue.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Arreane,

I apologise for that photo link. I don’t believe I have any optimization plugins that use a lazy load feature. I do use AIOSEO though.

    Thanks, Ben

    Hi,

It’s also possible that have different image sizes causing the smaller images to show extra white spaces to compensate for the height.

So please make sure that the crop option in your advance settings is not disabled.

If this is not the case, please provide us a working link for your screenshot so we can get a better idea with your issue.

    Hi Arreane,

I apologise for the late reply. I checked my settings and saw that I did not have the crop option disabled. I did however find that when I set the carousel margin size to 677px or higher, it would look like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RsZl9yRiBnQ8FGf8SH2lxQ8JgVAlfgbD/view?usp=sharing

The white space on the other hand would appear when I set the carousel margin size to 676 or lower, which looks like this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tW5VXnHpibLBE2oAON62KA5ic281gp0p/view?usp=sharing

When I click the arrow to change the image the white space goes away and it reverts back to normal.

    Thanks, Ben

“When I click the arrow to change the image the white space goes away and it reverts back to normal.”

The way you describe it above is most likely caused by an optimization/minification/lazy load features. Can you list all your active plugins here so I could verify which one is causing the issue.

In the meantime, you can try to disable all your plugins. If this fixes the issues, you can try to activate them back one-by-one until you can find which of your plugins is causing the issue.

    Hi Arreane,

The plugins that I use are:

    Akismet Anti-Spam
    All in One SEO
    AMP
    CoBlocks
    Creative Mail by Constant Contact
    Crowdsignal Forms
    Facebook for Woocommerce
    Flexible Shipping
Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights
    Google Listings and Ads
    Gutenberg
    Jetpack
    Layout Grid
    Mailchimp for WooCommerce
    Mailpoet 3
    Metaslider
    Page Optimize
    Points and Rewards for WooCommerce
    Product Feed PRO for WooCommerce
    Product Filter by WooBeWoo
    WooCommerce
    WooCommerce Blocks
    WooCommerce Google Analytics Integration
    WooCommerce Payments
    WooCommerce Shipping & Tax
    Wordpress.com Editing Toolkit

This is most-likely caused by JetPack or Page Optimize. Please try disabling them alternatively and see which fixes your issue.

    Hi Arreane,

I have just looked at my website in the phone view and I have noticed that it is doing the same thing where the 2 images are stacked on top of each other.

    Thanks, Ben
