Have you edited your wp-config.php file lately? Does it start with <?php?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for getting back to me.
No I have changed anything in the backend of the site for months.
I have access to the cPanel but cannot login with wordpress and of course you must have seen how the live site looks.
Yikes.
So where can I change the php file name.
Thanks Gary
Don’t change the name. Look at the file wp-config.php. It’s in the root of your site, probably public_htmml.
Hi Steve,
Yes it looks like this <?php
Hi Steve, I really appreciate your time trying to assist me. I guess you want to push me past my comfort level but I’m willing to give it a try. LOL
I need to read this carefully a couple of times so I feel better about it. Not sure I’ll have time to try it this afternoon but hopefully. Thanks again for your patience and assistance.
Your host may be willing to do this for you, so be sure to ask their support.
I’m going to get more familiar with where all the files are first just so I have better idea of the structure then maybe I will reach out to them to be sure.
I’ll update you as I go.
Hi Steve, sorry I haven’t followed up my hosting provider is migrating the site to a new server today and I wanted to see if that changes anything although they doubt that is the issue.
Interesting that I just checked and the website works fine on my Android phone and Safari but not Chrome or Firefox does this suggest anything different to you?
