We understand that you’re having trouble with Yoast detecting your custom fields.

The Yoast SEO for WordPress Premium plugin only analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL and the main WordPress content editor. If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes, Yoast SEO for WordPress might not be able to detect it by default.

So if you’re adding your content through the Advanced Custom Fields plugin, in order for Yoast SEO to analyze these fields, you’ll need to install the ACF Content Analysis for Yoast SEO plugin.
By using this plugin, you can use the SEO and readability analysis features of Yoast SEO to check your writing and SEO score, even if they live in a complex custom field.

Reading through your initial query, we do assume that you have a Custom Post Type which is indeed not a WordPress core post type. We could also assume that this post type post/category has the custom field area.

Having said that, if you haven’t used ACF for custom fields then it’s likely that your theme or another plugin that registers the custom post type would likely have added the second box field.

We provide plugin and theme developers with an API that they can use to pass their content to our page analysis. So, if you are using a plugin or theme that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This KB article will help them with the implementation – Can I add data to the page analysis?

With that being said, while our plugin isn’t able to detect all your text blocks and shows an incorrect analysis report, this doesn’t mean that search engines won’t be able to parse them. Our content analysis is just to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines crawl and index your site.
